A special experience. In the cable car you stand in a basket. A maximum of two adults fit in one basket. You have to jump on it when you get in and jump off when you get out. The staff helps open and close the doors. The journey takes about 10 minutes. You have a great view while driving.
The basket lift takes you to a rustic inn as a stopover. You can take a very pleasant break there and eat and drink something. A short walk is also possible. We then continue to the Leiteralm. It's definitely fun to ride the basket lift. Recommended
Take the chairlift from Lagundo to Vellau and stop at the Gasteiger inn. Everything is very quaint. From there take the basket lift to the Leiteralm at 1550 m above sea level. Great fun and definitely in the basket. From the Leiter Alm to the Meraner Höhenweg. Please be sure-footed and have a head for heights. On the way back we stopped for a Suser and Kaiserschmarrn in the Gruberhof. Delicious. A great day with many wonderful impressions.
An experience that is second to none. You float standing in the basket and can enjoy the panorama of the mountains. Getting in and out is also unproblematic and the basket itself is locked. An experience for young and old
Coming from the other cable car, you now go straight up with the basket lift, the ride is a real experience. Great. Once at the top you can enjoy a wonderful view. The railway building is quite dirty, especially up on the mountain it doesn't look very inviting, hence the 2 star deduction.
The ride on this lift was spectacular and really something very special. Not for the faint of heart, because just getting in is a shaky affair and you can see what's underneath you because the floor plate is also a basket. You have help getting in and out and you can drive with two people. We had fun.
